If you would like to enter Japanese text with IMKit-Anthy into the Zaurus, you must have two things: 1. IMKit-Anthy (Anthy Input Method) 2. An Unicode font to display the Japanese characters !! At first, make a backup of all your data, in case of data loss !! You need the following packages, which can be downloaded from http://zaurus-ja.sourceforge.jp/feed/ - anthy_3500c-1_arm.ipk (*) - imkit-anthy_0.3.5-1_arm.ipk (*) - libqte-ja_2.3.3-6_arm.ipk (not needed, if you have a German ROM of version 2.38G or higher in your Zaurus SL-5500G) - unismall_1.0.0_arm.ipk (not needed, if you already have another Unicode font installed) And from: ftp://ftp.handhelds.org/pub/linux/dists/familiar/feeds/unstable/packages/armv4l/ the Package: libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-0.010407-fam1_arm.ipk // Packages with a (*) can also be installed onto a SD- or a CF-Card. \\ After the installation, you should be able to see the IMKit-Anthy in the input method menu (the one where you change from Handwriting to On-Screen keyboard, for example), and should be able to insert Japanese text into applications which support Unicode.
